Sinsinawa Mound Center and Maestro Productions, Inc. are pleased to present Messiah & More! on Sunday, November 15, 2015, 3:30pm in the inspirational and acoustically beautiful setting of the Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa Mound, 585 County Road Z, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. Featured will be singers and soloists representing area performers and choirs including the Tri-State Choral Society directed by Emily Spencer, and Madison Area Community Chorus directed by Mark Bloedow. Special guests will include the Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble and a chamber orchestra.
The program opens with seasonal favorites performed by the Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble, Madison Area Community Chorus, and other special guests. The aroma of warm cider and tasty holiday treats will greet guests during intermission. The second half of the program includes Handel's Christmas Messiah (Part I), including the beloved Hallelujah Chorus, with chorus, soloists, and chamber orchestra. The finale features a festive audience Carol Sing, concluding with Silent Night. Conductor Mark Bloedow invites everyone to "enjoy a lovely afternoon of Advent and Christmas favorites, and the truly glorious music of Handel's Christmas Messiah, in the beautiful setting of the Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Mound."
