Earth Day Spring Concert - Sing Unto the Sky

Madison Community Chorus
Maestro commuity Orchestra

The Madison Community Chorus and Maestro Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bloedow, will present their annuel Spring Concert, Earth Day - Sing Unto the Sky, on Saturday, April 25, 3:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison.
 
Choral highlights will include A Song of Blue (Bob Chilcott), Exsultate justi in Domino (Brant Adams), and Haydn's joyful Awake the Harp from The Creation. Featured will be Sing Unto the Sky by Karen Morrolli. Also, Laura Farnell's You Are My Music (sopranos & altos) and the Josh Groban favorite Thankful (tenors and basses). Orchestral highlights will include the well-known Waltz from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty ballet, the first movement from Mozart's lively Jupiter Symphony, and the LeRoy Anderson favorite, The Syncopated Clock. Featured will be Soon Hee Newbold's stunning Alpha and Omega. The chorus and orchestra will combine for You'll Never Walk Alone and the iconic What a Wonderful World, both performed with the audience as a sing-a-long.

A festive spring-themed reception will follow the concert in the lower-level Lakeview Room at Immanuel, all are welcome! Free parking is available in the church parking lots (adjacent to the church and across the street, including the Wilmar parking area) and the building is fully accessible.

Orchestra Concert | May 16 | Purchase Tickets
The Maestro Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bloedow, will present a Spring Orchestra Concert on Saturday, May 16, 3:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison.  

Program highlights will include two movements from Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" ballet, the well-known "Waltz" and "Marche No. 1;" the first movements from Mozart's lively "Jupiter Symphony" and Beethoven's " Pastoral Symphony," as well as the LeRoy Anderson favorite "The Syncopated Clock." Featured will be Soon Hee Newbold's stunning Alpha and Omega. The concert will conclude with "You'll Never Walk Alone" and the iconic "What a Wonderful World," both performed with the audience as a sing-a-long.

Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble

​The Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mark Bloedow, will present a Handbell Workshop and Ringin' Spring Handbell Concert on Saturday, June 6 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2450 W. 9th Avenue, Oshkosh.

Program highlights will include Cynthia Dobrinski's lyrical "Canticle of Hope," a new arrangement of Bach's "My Heart Ever Faithful" for handbells and flute by Mark Bloedow, a spirited original composition, "Exulate" by Josh Bauder, and Pachelbel's beloved "Canon in D" for handbells and keyboard. Featured will be the iconic "What a Wonderful World" arranged by Sandra Eithun and a lovely setting of "Dona Nobis Pacem" arranged for handbells and flute by Brenda Austin with Lorrie Murdock, flutist.

Program highlights will include Cynthia Dobrinski's lyrical "Canticle of Hope," a new arrangement of Bach's "My Heart Ever Faithful" for handbells and flute by Mark Bloedow, a spirited original composition, "Exulate" by Josh Bauder, and Pachelbel's beloved "Canon in D" for handbells and keyboard. The Madison Community Chorus is excited to offer Welcome Nights for new and returning singers starting Monday, January 26, 6:30pm at Immanuel Lutheran, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison. There is no audition to join the chorus or attend Welcome Nights, all are welcome to sing!

New members in all voice parts are welcome to join MCC and sign-up to attend Welcome Nights by using the link below. Please register in advance to receive regular email updates about Welcome Nights and the spring semester.

Ringing Badgers handbell ensemble

The Ringing Badgers is an integral part of the Maestro Productions family of performers. The community ensemble plays multiple sets of handbells and a full seven octaves of chimes. The RBs enjoy an exciting performance schedule each season presenting solo concerts and performances with the Madison Community Chorus and Maestro Community Orchestra, as well as, guest appearances for special events at various venues.

We welcome new ringers to join us! Previous ringing experience is not required and there is no audition to join the group. If you are interested in ringing with a FUN group and enjoy being a part of an enthusiastic team experience, we would love to hear from you, all are welcome!

Now is a great time to join the Maestro Community Orchestra for FUN rehearsals, challenging music, and exciting performances; including collaborative performances with the Madison Community Chorus and Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble. Please feel free to share the word and invite others to attend with you, all are welcome!

There is no audition to attend Welcome Nights or to join the orchestra.
