Ringin' Spring Handbell Workshop

Dear Workshop Friends, 
Thank you for registering for the Ringin' Spring Handbell Workshop.  We are sorry to announce the workshop scheduled for March 28 at Sinsinawa Mound Center has been CANCELLED due to the Coronavirus, and in support of social distancing.  Full registration refunds will be given to everyone who registered, please allow several weeks for processing.  We do plan to offer the workshop again in the future.

Looking to improve your ringing skills in a fun event with other ringers who share your enthusiasm for handbells?  Ringin’ Spring Handbell Workshop features mass ringing, break-out sessions, lunch, a closing mini-concert, and great handbell friends!
 
Please plan to join the Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble and Mark Bloedow, Artistic Director & Workshop Clinician for a FUN time together celebrating and learning more about the wonderful world of handbell ringing.  The event is for ringers and directors of all experience levels.   Everyone is welcome…please join us for Ringin’ Spring Handbell Workshop!

Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble

Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble is a community based handbell choir in Madison, Wisconsin.  The group is an integral part of the Maestro Productions family of performers and includes handbell musicians from primarily Southern Wisconsin. The Ringing Badgers made their debut at the Handbell Musicians of America Area 7 Festival Conference in 2012 (Duluth, MN) and performed for the Area 7 Festival Conferences in 2014 (La Crosse, WI); 2016 (Sioux Falls, SD); and 2018 (Rochester, MN).

Mark Bloedow is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Handbell Activities at Concordia University Wisconsin where he conducts the Alleluia Ringers, Concordia’s touring handbell ensemble, and Chapel Ringers.  He also serves as the conductor and developer of Concordia’s community-based mixed choir, the Concordia Civic Chorale.  In addition Mark is the founding Executive/Artistic Director of Maestro Productions, Inc. (including the Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble), and Music Director at Immanuel Lutheran Church, all located in Madison.  He was previously Artistic Director for Madison's Choral Arts Society Chorale and Guest Director, Associate Music Director and Music Director for Madison Area Concert Handbells.

What to bring

All individuals and groups provide their own handbells and Choirchimes, foam padding, table covers and other related items (for example music, music binders, music risers, mallets, floor carpet squares if desired, etc.).  Tables are provided.  You will receive a ringing position confirmation in advance of the workshop via e-mail.  Please note your ringing position preferences on the registration form.
