Our Mission

Maestro, in partnership with the people of our region, serves individuals and families with opportunities to actively share in the creation and enjoyment of high quality inspirational musical and theatrical performances that enrich the cultural vitality of the communities in which they live.

History

Since 1989 Maestro Productions has been serving individuals, families, and communities with its unique performances that utilize the organization’s own community ensembles as well as collaborations with area choirs, instrumentalists, and solo performers.

The not-for-profit 501c(3) organization was founded by Madison resident and community arts leader Mark Bloedow who serves as the organization’s Executive/Artistic Director.

Our Ensembles

A choir of men and women singing in a church or concert hall, conducted by a choir director, with some members holding sheet music, and an audience in front of them.

MCC is a community-based, four-part chorus made up of singers from the greater Madison area

The RBs are a community-based handbell ensemble with members from across southern Wisconsin.

MCO is a community-based full orchestra with members from the greater Madison area.

Dr. Mark Bloedow, DMA, is the founding Executive Director of Maestro Productions, Inc., a Madison-based non-profit community music organization. As the organization's Artistic Director, he conducts the Madison Community Chorus, the Maestro Community Orchestra, and Ringing Badgers Handbell Ensemble.

In addition, Mark is the Music Director & Organist at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Executive Director of Handbell Week, and owner of Midwest Music, all located in Madison, Wisconsin. He served eight years as Assistant Professor of Music at Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, including ensemble leadership as Director of Handbell Activities, conducting the Alleluia Ringers touring ensemble and Chapel Ringers, as well as Developer and Music Director of the Concordia Civic Chorale community chorus.

Mark also previously served as the Artistic Director of Madison's Choral Arts Society Chorale and Music Director of Madison Area Concert Handbells.
